1) Acupuncture

an originally Chinese practice of inserting fine needles through the skin at specific points especially to cure disease or relieve pain (as in surgery).

Spend 10-15 minutes daily on acupressure, applying gentle pressure to key points like LI4 (between thumb and index finger) to relieve stress.

2) Ayurveda

a form of alternative medicine that is the traditional system of medicine of India and seeks to treat and integrate body, mind, and spirit using a comprehensive holistic approach especially by emphasizing diet, herbal remedies, exercise, meditation, breathing, and physical therapy.

Start your day with a warm glass of water mixed with lemon and honey to aid digestion and detoxify the body.

3) Biofeedback

the technique of making unconscious or involuntary bodily processes (such as heartbeats or brain waves) perceptible to the senses (as by the use of an oscilloscope) in order to manipulate them by conscious mental control.

Practice deep breathing exercises for 5-10 minutes, focusing on controlling your heart rate and muscle tension.

4) Chiropractic

a system of noninvasive therapy which holds that certain musculoskeletal disorders result from nervous system dysfunction arising from misalignment of the spine and joints and that focuses treatment especially on the manual adjustment or manipulation of the spinal vertebrae.

Perform daily stretching exercises to maintain spinal health and flexibility.

5) Dietary Supplements

a product taken orally that contains one or more ingredients (such as vitamins or amino acids) that are intended to supplement one's diet and are not considered food.

Take a daily multivitamin or a specific supplement like Omega-3, as recommended by a healthcare provider.

6) Electromagnetic Therapy

also known as electromagnetic field therapy (EMF therapy), is a type of alternative medicine that uses electromagnetic fields to diagnose and treat various health conditions. It is based on the idea that the human body emits electromagnetic fields and that imbalances in these fields can lead to illness.

Use a small, portable PEMF (Pulsed Electromagnetic Field) device for 10 minutes on areas of discomfort.

7) Feldenkrais Method

a unique system of somatic learning that teaches sensory self-awareness to improve neuromuscular patterns, posture, and overall well-being. It involves gentle movements to promote flexibility, coordination, and self-awareness. The method aims to re-educate the nervous system and improve motor ability, allowing the body to move and function more efficiently and comfortably.

Spend 10 minutes on gentle, mindful movements to improve body awareness and coordination.

8) Gua Sha

a traditional Chinese medicine practice that involves using a tool to apply pressure and scrape the skin to relieve pain and tension.

Use a Gua Sha tool for 5 minutes on your face or neck to improve circulation and reduce tension.

9) Homeopathy

a system of alternative medicine that treats a disease especially by the administration of minute doses of a remedy that would in larger amounts produce symptoms in healthy persons similar to those of the disease. 

Take a daily dose of a homeopathic remedy tailored to your specific needs, as advised by a practitioner

10) Iridology

the study of the iris of the eye for indications of bodily health and disease. 

Regularly observe changes in your iris and maintain a health journal to track any correlations with your well-being.

11) Jin Shin Jyutsu

an ancient Japanese healing art that uses gentle touch to balance the body's energy system, promote healing, and restore harmony

Practice holding your fingers or placing your hands on specific energy points for 5-10 minutes to balance energy.

12) Kinesiology

the study of the mechanics of body movements

Perform muscle testing exercises to identify and correct imbalances in your body’s energy.

13) Lomi Lomi

a type of massage that originated in Hawaii and is based on the belief that everyone has a life force energy, or "mana", that can be blocked and lead to illness

Spend a few minutes each day massaging your arms or legs using long, flowing strokes to promote relaxation.

14) Meditation

to engage in contemplation or reflection

Dedicate 10-20 minutes daily to meditation, focusing on your breath to achieve a state of calm and clarity.

15) Naturopathy

a system of alternative medicine based on the theory that diseases can be successfully treated or prevented without the use of drugs, by techniques such as control of diet, exercise, and massage.

Incorporate natural remedies like herbal teas or essential oils into your daily routine to support overall health.

16) Osteopathy

a branch of medical practice that emphasizes the treatment of medical disorders through the manipulation and massage of the bones, joints, and muscles.

Engage in gentle stretching and mobility exercises to support musculoskeletal health.

17) Qigong

 a traditional Chinese practice that involves a combination of meditation, breathing, and physical movements to improve health and well-being.

Practice a 10-minute Qigong routine, combining slow movements, breathing exercises, and meditation.

18) Reiki

a healing technique based on the principle that the therapist can channel energy into the patient by means of touch

Spend a few minutes each day performing self-Reiki by placing your hands on different parts of your body to transfer energy.

19) Shiatsu

a form of therapy of Japanese origin based on the same principles as acupuncture, in which pressure is applied to certain points on the body using the hands.

Apply finger pressure to specific points on your body for a few minutes to balance your energy.

20) Tai Chi

a Chinese martial art and system of calisthenics, consisting of sequences of very slow controlled movements.

Practice a short Tai Chi sequence daily to improve balance, flexibility, and mental focus.

21) Unani

an ancient Greek system of medicine based on the qualities of four temperaments and four humors.

Follow a balanced diet and lifestyle regimen based on Unani principles, including regular physical activity and adequate sleep.

22) Visualization

the process of creating vivid mental images using our imagination

Spend 5-10 minutes visualizing positive outcomes and scenarios to promote mental well-being.

a Hindu spiritual and ascetic discipline, a part of which, including breath control, simple meditation, and the adoption of specific bodily postures

Perform a daily yoga routine, focusing on poses that enhance flexibility, strength, and relaxation.
